What’s on for World Mental Health Day 2023?

World Mental Health Day (WMHD) is right round the bend! So what are we doing?

 

9:00AM – 10:15AM: Yoga in Room A445

De-compress and unwind with us, as we host a meditative yoga session this World Mental Health Day. All registered attendees will take receive their own free succulent plant to take home to symbolise your mind’s ongoing growth and being.

About Wellbeing and Counselling Services

Our friendly team provides a range of specialised support services and resources to enhance individual health and wellbeing.

The Wellbeing and Counselling Services (WACS) is committed to provide a safe, culturally appropriate and inclusive service for all students, regardless of their ethnicity, faith, disability, sexuality or gender identity. Free and confidential to students, available services include:

  • Up to six sessions of individual counselling per year.  Zoom and phone consultations available.
  • Referral to support services who can help with improving your mental health and wellbeing.
  • Assistance with Special Consideration and Bursary applications.
  • Group sessions or Classroom Information sessions.
  • Information and referral to services who can help with accommodation and legal issues, etc.
  • Second hand uniform and equipment.

English Tutorial 4:30pm Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at 4:30pm in class room 4 we have an English tutor here to help you, free of charge.  

We are here to support you learning a new language and culture, but we need more people to attend to keep this program running. If you have any questions about written or spoken English, please come and ask our tutor.

They are looking to sponsor cooks & chefs under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS).

On Monday 31 July all Cookery and Patisserie Stage 1 students have a Careers and Jobs Session on their timetable from 10am. There will be a lot of helpful information about resume writing to make you stand out from the crowd.  

Please bring a printed copy of your current resume to get advice and support.

My Results (eStudent)

eStudent is a quick and easy way to access your enrolment and course details. Currently, you can view your personal details; any units you are enrolled in and access your results.

To log onto eStudent
Type in your username and password

Your username is your student number – (Numbers only)

For first time users, your password will be your Date of Birth (DOB) - ddmmyyyy (01011990)
For returning users, it will be the password you selected at an earlier stage.

If you have forgotten your password please complete this eStudent (My Results) password reset request form.

NB. Once password has been reset you will be prompted to change temporary password.

Please record your new password.

Username
The 'Username' is your student number as it appears on your student ID card.


Example:
1. If your student ID includes preceeding letters such as ang12345678 then it would be: ang12345678@myangliss.edu.au 
2. If your student ID has not preceeding letters such as 20000000 then it would be: 20000000@myangliss.edu.au

Password
Your password is same as your MYWAI student portal password.

Email address
Using the example Username above.

Then your student email address would be: ang12345678@myangliss.edu.au

This is the first step in accessing your mailbox.

Enter your username:    ang12345678@myangliss.edu.au
Then your password :    08041972

 

How to forward your student email to your personal email?

Note: The following instructions will only work on a Mac or a PC. We recommend you to use a PC or a Mac when you try these instructions.

1. Sign in to your student email by going to outlook.com/myangliss.edu.au

2. At the top of the page, select Settings Settings: update your profile, install software and connect it to the cloud > Options, and then select:

    Mail > Accounts > Forwarding

3. Select Start forwarding, enter the email address you want, set or clear the Keep a copy of forwarded messages in Outlook Web App check box, and then select Save.


Set up forwarding options and decide if you want to keep a copy in your inbox


Stop email forwarding

1. Select Settings Settings icon > Options > Mail > Accounts > Forwarding

2. Select Stop forwarding.
