Access and Disability Services

Our free Access and Disability Services provide a wide range of support to students with disabilities, medical conditions, and mental health conditions.

Access, inclusion, participation, diversity

The Access and Disability Service aims to ensure that Angliss students with a diagnosed disability, medical condition or mental health condition, receive reasonable adjustments, based on their individual needs.

The Disability Liaison Officer consults with the student to establish individual needs, gather relevant and appropriate medical documentation and develop an Individual Access Plan containing reasonable and necessary adjustments. We use an inclusive, person-centred approach, to ensure that students are able to exercise choice and control in their own support.

Some of the services provided may include:

  • Advice before your course starts
  • Enrolment/interview assistance
  • Individual Access Plans
  • Provision of in-class support (Notetakers/Participant Assistance)
  • Auslan interpreters
  • Adaptive technology
  • Liaising with teachers about your learning needs
  • Modifications to resources, equipment and furniture
  • Alternative assessment arrangements
  • Advocacy

The Access and Disability Service is committed to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of personal student information.

Enquiries are welcome from people with disabilities, their families and friends, their case managers, teachers or staff.
